These techniques can be used effectively to detect your bones density and especially in the susceptible regions. In other cases, CT scans and ultra sound can be used to determine a diagnosis.

While degenerative bone disease causes serious damage to the body, there are a couple of ways through which it can be treated. However, it is important to note that treatment is influenced by different factors such as the patient’s age, medical condition, x-ray findings and activities. Patients suffering from moderate degenerative bone disease can benefit from exercise programs supervised by professionals.

There are other non impact activities that also come in handy towards treating degenerative bone disease and these include cycling, walking and swimming. In cases where a younger person is suffering from the condition, it is advisable to do physical activity for the purpose of strengthening the tendons, muscles and ligaments that surround the affected joints.
